In 1987, we started The Amy Adina Schulman Memorial Fund to commemorate the brief but vibrant life of a twenty year old college student, a neuropsychology major, and an activist for ten years in the progressive Labor Zionist Youth Movement, Habonim-Dror. Since that time, we have aided over 1000 grantees who have served in over 12 countries and regions. We are struck by our grantees’ optimism and their pragmatism. Grantees tutor, train, encourage, and develop meaningful relationships. But they also understand that the success of the programs of their host organizations often requires spending time, perhaps in an office, where they research potential grant opportunities, draft grant proposals, collect data and review literature, create websites, design training programs and conferences, build workshops, and more.
We need your help to keep funding these amazing young people as they reach out into the world with their energy and determination to make a difference.
